Very excited about the new Recording feature! Uninstalled old version, installed new version, brought up ‘Mikogo Settings’, went to ‘Start Options’ tab, clicked on browse ‘…’ button for ‘Storage Path for Recording’ and get a windows error: ‘Mikogo has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.’ Anyone else encounter this?

Thanks!

@Anne-Marie, please when you have a moment let me know what OS you are using. There is a small error when using Win2000, which has been reported and commented on here: http://www.mikogo-blog.com/upgrade-new-version/#comment-407
Thanks

@ Darrin,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. As it is your first recording, it is best not to start with the settings now. Instead record your first meeting.
Solution: start a meeting, click on the M icon, go to Recording, and the click Start. This will automatically open a window where you can choose where you want your recordings saved. Looks like this: http://www.mikogo-blog.com/images/08/october/recording.jpg
When you click Stop, the recording will automatically be saved to this location.

Later, when you want to change your saving location, then go to the M icon, settings, and change it there. But please try recording your first meeting before you do this.

Cheers. Andrew

Since downloading the upgrade have not been able to use product. Even tried loading Skype Extra that just gave us the message, ” plug in not allowed”.

This new version is very buggy. I have a lot of problems starting meetings. I wish I hadn’t upgraded…what’s going on?

Andrew November 7th, 2008 at 7:36 pm

@Andrew,
Are you using Skype 4 Beta? We noted this “plugin not allowed” message on this version of Skype. Take a look at this blog post for how to get rid of this: http://www.mikogo-blog.com/mikogo-extra-skype-4-beta/

Andrew November 15th, 2008 at 12:05 am

@Georg and Rob,
The problems have been fixed. We released v2.0.1, which you can download from the blog or from http://www.mikogo.com. Mikogo is now fully compatible with Win2000 and is a smoother running screen sharing experience.

Currently Mikogo is not natively running on Mac OS.
