Feedback on the Mikogo Feedback: Thank you!

Mikogo thank you

Last week we sent out a quick questionnaire on the newly released Mikogo version 2.0. The response was huge! So many emails from people who wanted to share their opinions and experiences on the new version thus far by praising the Mikogo Team on the new software, as well as others who needed to urgently report a problem with their upgrade to the new version.

While there have been a few reported issues with the upgrade process (such as the Win2000 error), all in all the feedback on the new software was really positive. So we just wanted to say thanks for all those compliments.

For those who reported an issue when upgrading and using Mikogo v2.0, we really appreciate the details that you sent along with screenshots. We have looked into these issues and have been working hard to fix them in order to release an updated version of Mikogo that will solve these problems. We appreciate you taking the time to assist us here, and for your continual support of our free desktop sharing tool.

Furthermore, the two questions, “What features would you like to see added?” and “If you were a part of the Mikogo Team, what would you change?” received a lot of great suggestions and comments. Thanks a lot for all that – some suggestions received a lot of support from many Mikogo users. So we will definitely use this feedback when fine-tuning Mikogo in the future.

Btw, there were several feedback emails from users asking how they can retrieve their password. For future needs or anyone who is just about to upgrade for the first time and who may need this, you can retrieve your password from here: http://www.mikogo.com/forgotpassword.aspx

That’s it for now. Stay tuned for further news on Mikogo v2.0

Men… I’m a scatter brain.

Is there a way to change my password to somethign that I actually want instead of something RaNdOm?

@Awake
There is a link in the above blog post where you can reset your password. At the moment it is not possible to choose a custom password, but this will be possible when we release the new website where users will be able to login and change their password details.
Images/buttons: yes they are available here on the blog. Take a look at the navigation menu at the top of the web page, and you’ll find the headings “Banners”, “Buttons”, “Screenshots” & “Giraffe”. There are plenty of images there that you are welcome to use on your own blog. Please help yourself :-) More details here: http://www.mikogo-blog.com/mikogo-banners-buttons-and-screenshots/
It would be great if you blogged about Mikogo. Once you have a blog post, feel free to let us know by leaving a comment/link on our blog. Cheers!

I hadn’t tried the new Mikogo when I got the email from you guys, but would now after trying this new version plus the record session, can I say thumbs up, all worked perfectly
What would I like to see for future versions, well maybe the ability to chat similar to the Yahoo messenger but all incorporated in the Mikogo screen

I have one comment about usability with Mikogo - non-users, people I invite to share my screen, have a hard time finding the “Join Meeting” link as it’s not very visible. It sounds really hokey to have to keep telling them to “look to the right of the giraffe’s eyes” - the join meeting link should be a large, very visible button on the home page, people shouldn’t have to go searching for it - it should be the most obvious thing on the screen.

Thank you, Mikogo December 29th, 2008 at 10:15 am
